Red Slawsome

The best coleslaw you will ever taste! That is so quick + is even good to eat by itself.

#Cabbage is #cheap, #nutritious, + tastes #good without about anything! Did you know red cabbage has the highest amount of antioxidants per unit of cost!?
It contains sulforaphane, which when crushed or chopped releases #sulphur. Sulphur helps keep the heart strong + fight cancer.
If you don't have some ingredients here are some suggestions so you can still make it!
Recommended Substitutions:
Red cabbage - green or savoy cabbage
Honey - agave syrup
Almonds - sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, or cashews
Olive oil/sesame oil - avocado oil (omit sesame oil)
Balsamic vinegar - white vinegar or apple cider vinegar
Red Slawsome (6-8 side servings)
Whats in it:
6 cups of thinly sliced red cabbage
Half of a thinly sliced onion
1 shredded carrot
1/2 cup of roasted almonds
1/4 cup fresh mint minced
Sauce:
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp honey
5 cloves of garlic minced
2 tsp whole seed Dijon mustard
1/4 cup olive oil
Salt + pepper to taste
How to make it:
1. In a big bowl, whisk together all the above sauce ingredients
2. Toast almonds or not!
3. Prepare cabbage, mint, onions, + carrots, + add to the bowl
4. Mix the sauce in with the vegetables + top with the almonds
5. Enjoy!
